The birds chirped happily in their tops of the green trees encircling the beautiful Chessa Lake. They looked down at the wolf pack that was taking it easy down by the blue waters, but then they noticed a lone soul lying on a curved rock overhanging the crystal lake. It was a large arctic wolf, eyes half closed and a sad aura about her. The gossip that the birds passed among themselves made it clear of what had happened to her. Her mate, Kido, was stolen by those monstrous humans after they discovered the land, and now this white beauty had to hold the weight of all the pack on her shoulders.
All of the wolves were familiar with this wolf. Her name was Fellixe, and she was over four springs old. She had been getting along great now, although her memory still drifted back to the happy days of Kido and herself sometimes. It had been a couple years since the dreadful incident. She vowed to herself and her pack that if they ever smelled the humans trying to enter into Sitara ever again, they would attack with full force. So far, this event hasn't happened. And she never wished it to ever again.
Fellixe often went to this rock when she wanted to think, and get away from the middle of the pack. After all, they had just went on a hunt in the Gomer Plains, with the alpha's permission of coarse. The area they lived in had an abundance of prey animals, but not large game. They mainly ate fish. Although Fellixe's favorite was, in fact, the beaver.

The birds passed on a different rumor, slowly growing quiet and falling to a dull murmur as a shadow moved slowly through the pack lands. This was a wolf that made them very weary, a new wolf, who did seemed to act just a little unorthodox in comparison to the pack wolves they had grown used to. He snapped once in a while, seemingly at nothing, and made no pause when he crossed the obvious border into these lands a few minutes ago. His posture was low to the ground, but that obviously came natural, and was not an act of nervous submission.
He did not look around, only kept his eyes forward. He didn't listen to what the birds had to say, as their silence became apparently about his presence. He was, now that you mentioned it, visibly frightened, and what sane creature wouldn't be? He trespassed, and times were hard enough without another possible threat. But he was on a mission, and had to at least make his presence known if he was going to live safely.
The humans frightened him more then any wolf could, and their traps were still hidden, even though the initial threat seemed to have passed for the moment.
Finally the small wolf paused, his sides heaving and his ears moving about quickly. They should realize he was here eventually, and Frexpar did not want to be the first to make a move. He his himself by a tree, not out of sight but inconspicuous enough.

Fellixe's eyes were not nearly all the way closed. She was starting to drift off into a happy dream world, but then she caught scent of something. She inhaled the new smell, eyes still closed, and now she was certain. Somewhere very close, a trespasser was in her lands. Her eyelids lifted and her head arose, ears moving back and forth. She was not one known to be violent to trespassers, but she simply would not tolerate any nonsense from them. Her claws clenched the ground as she lifted her furry, ivory body off of the ground. She looked down at her reflection in the lake one last time, taking a paw and rubbing it over the fur on her cheek. Then she started off in the direction that the scent was coming from.
She passed her pack members and told them that it would be alright, and that she was just going to check things out. And after walking for ten minutes, she finally caught light of the sunlight reflecting a rusty haze off of grey fur. Her eyes focused better to see the whole wolf, and her brow knitted. Her serious look was in order to handle strangers, even if they wished to join the pack.
"Who are you, trespasser? And what business may you have in my pack lands?" Her voice was firm, but not so harsh. She simply demanded an answer. No matter what he had come for, she had to handle things the right way, as the alpha of her pack should.

When he heard her coming, he lowered his body to the ground, ears back, and tail low. His eyes were wide, and hid the cunning spark that was slowly growing.
"My pardons, mistress." He said softly, creeping forward slowly. "I mean no disrespect, and if you wish for me to leave, I will surely do so." He paused. "I beg an audience with the leader of these packlands....and I assume that is you." He sounded meek. Humble, lost. He said nothing more, only made it clear that he meant no harm, and he was in no position to do any harm anyway. In comparison, Frexpar stood no chance, and could even be mistaken for a yearling. The position he bent his body in in submission did nothing to help the matter.
Inside his head panic thundered. He knew what had to be done, and sure he was far more clever then this shewolf, but also knew she could pull him apart, especially backed with the strength of the pack.

At the wolf's humble words, Fellixe slightly loosened her intense gaze. She nodded her head in acknowledgement, but nothing more... yet. She was still wondering what this small wolf's name was.
"I am only interegating you, young brute, for the safety of my pack. I will not allow any foul play on my lands." She snarled slightly, letting him know that she was serious. I am, in fact, the alphess of these lands. I have yet to learn your name, small one."
The wind tussled with her perfectly white fur, rolling it back and forth gracefully. She was a large, muscled femme who could get the attention of others in a heartbeat. Her golden eyes were stabbing to anyone who looked into them, and she did not take this gift for granted. She sat down with her beautiful tail hanging loosely at her side, and she patiently waited for an answer. She didn't know who this wolf was, or quite why he had come here, but he seemed nice enough. Gathering this information was only her first impression, although. If she ever found out his story in its entirety, it would be then that she could fairly judge this new character.

She spoke to him as if he was a child, and he could tell that their ages possibly matched. This bothered him only slightly, but he made no mention or movement to show any such feeling.
Frexpar only bowed his head to her words, rearranging his position to a more comfortable slouch when she sat down, taking that as a cur he was gaining some leeway.
"My name is Frexpar, Lady. Given to me after my father, in a different land." That last bit was probably not needed, but subtle things were necessary for the trusting process. His father was Par' Hilga, a name that no longer had any meaning to Frex, who considered himself nameless for the most part. And such a far away land, nonetheless. Left far behind, and the lingering accent was still lingering on his speech.
"And I have come to your land to beg for protection." He bobbed his head again, in something resembling shame, and closed his eyes slowly. "There is no reason for you to allow me to join your pack, for such huge creatures you hunt I could never hope to fall." A lie, in a way. He was rather good at strategics, and that sometimes required no strength at all. Babies and elders were always a choice pick. "But any use you find for me, will preform. I would not be useless."

White paws were lain carefully upon the thick grass, as a stalky form slid silently across the ground. Both ears were slicked back against the wolf's cranium, his gaze flitting uneasily about the place. It was clear that the male was nervous, as he cautiously scanned his surroundings. Drawing in a deep breath, he studied the fresh, crisp aroma that arose from the lake and grass. The strong, alarming scent of wolves tainted the air, but Nebel could never pinpoint the exact location of the smell. Giving his head a quick shake, he ruffled up his fresh white mane.
Nebel carried forward as before, his muscles tensing as he sensed the presence of a group of wolves. But two of them were particularly near, their voices barely reaching the Nebel's flattened ears. He felt compelled to whine, to express his anxiety, but he remained silent. Head lowered, he quickened his pace, the swift rhythm of his paws growing louder as they hit harder upon the ground. Raising his head just enough to peek above the tall grass, Nebel once more sought out the forms of the strangers. And this time, he found them, two stiff figures not far away.
Now the male slowed to his former pace, as he padded into their sight. Nebel's tail hung lifelessly from his rump, as he headed for the arctic female. Lowering his body to the ground, he hesitantly crept toward her. Nebel grunted softly as he finally stopped, now within her attacking range. He certainly didn't want to spark her aggression, not when he was the one trespassing. So he lay on the grass as a crumpled mess, occasionally stealing a glance into the alpha's eyes.

Fellixe eyed Frexpar in a careful, observing way. Excepting as she was to new creatures entering her pack, she had to use the utmost care. He was small; but perhaps he could still be of some use to her in the pack. She sensed his cunning, conniving ways, and that made her even more wary of him. Frexpar was, indeed, a different name. She knew that he must have come from somewhere far away. His aura gave of a sort of sad story, but she pushed that to the back of her mind and tried harder to focus. How do I know that I can trust him? No wolf can be completely trusted these days... She thought. Nevertheless, she still weighed the advantages he might serve to her pack. She wondered why he said that he was begging for protection. From what, she wondered?
I cannot say that I quite know you yet, Sir Frexpar. But one night with us should prove your worth and trust to me. You have, indeed, trespassed. Yet you seem quite sensible, so I will not hold such things against you." She tilted her head, in a way that showed her sensibility and leadership. Then she bobbed her head down and then back up. "You may join us for tonight."
Just after she had said these words, yet another new wolf smell approached her nose. Her ears suddenly stood erect, and she twisted her head around to catch a glimpse of a dirty white brute approaching her in a humble fashion. She backed up a bit, showing her fangs and giving a menacing snarl. She was warning the poor beast, even if he didn't mean any harm.
"Now I must ask who you are," she demanded. "Why have you trespassed, brute?"

The snarl, Nebel had expected. He did not flinch, though he did bow his head away from the femme. Remaining in his non-threatening position, Nebel slowly eased his gaze upwards to look at the alpha. The male had fully noticed the stranger, but now he kept carefully focused upon the leader. His ears lifted off his white head, just enough to catch the alpha's words.
"I am Nebel." His voice crept into his throat, and entered the air, something that didn't happen as often as it should. Nebel paused, knowing that he should answer the next question, though he had a dislike for talking. But Nebel was a sensible animal, and quickly carried on. "I have crossed the border only in an attempt to join your pack; I wish no harm." Nebel's muscles were starting to ache, but he remained in the same position as he cautiously awaited the alpha's reaction.
He felt the impulse to scratch his jowls, where the muzzle had dug into the skin, but again he ignored it. Instead Nebel gazed up at the femme with his one good eye, as his tongue swiped quickly over his maw. Meanwhile the cool breeze tussled his light, misty fur, bringing with it the scents of various fish and birds.

Frexpar nodded thankfully, then placed his nose on the ground between his paws in a sort of bow, then sat up, giving his thin legs a quick stretch. He was off the hook for now. Something spun off in his head, and he gave a quick inward sigh. He could play it safe for the night, keep his head down around the senior pack mates, and indulge in whatever pleasantries they could launch at him. This was only the easiest part, now Frexpar had to reform his entire outward attitude if he wanted to stay.
Then another male approached, creeping forward towards the lady alpha. A sense of fear installed itself amongst the victory of not being torn to pieces. Two newcomers in one day - that had to be stressful. Frexpar cast a small glance at the alpha, expecting to see anxiety and worry, expecting to be turned away right now, despite her word that he could experiment for one night. The small wolf fell back a pace, allowing her a better position for introductions with the new one, and also hoping to remain as inconspicuous as possible. She was not fully out of her sight, just enough to give the two a bit of space.

Fellixe's mind twirled about, trying to think quickly of what to do. She felt sorry for the one who called himself Nebel. The poor beast looked very shy and poor. His one lost eye made her heart clench in sorrow. How aweful if would be to not be able to see... even out of just one eye. A smile to him started at the back of her black lips to show her sympathy, but it quickly faded as she came back to reality. She must make a decision. If she let two newcomers sleep in the midst of the pack that night, she risked trouble for either one or both of them. If she turned them both away, she would have a tinge of guilt in her concience. If she chose one, she would feel sorry for the other. It was these burdens that drug her down and made her wish that her dear Kido was here to help her. His brain was like the other half of hers. Will it ever be the same? she thought.
An idea crossed her mind, but she would not reveal it until she made it clear of what they had done. "Dear Nebel, and Frexpar. You do realize the wild laws that the wolves live by have been broken by both of you, today? And yet I wish to show you both pity. Both of you may stay here for tonight. You can stick together, if you wish. But you will sleep on the boundary of my territory. Maybe I will let you move closer tomorrow."
The first night rule that she had given them seemed reasonable to her. Now hopefully her pack would agree with her.

Nebel's eyes narrowed a tad as he caught the alpha's look of sympathy. He shifted his weight, not letting it get to him, though anger lingered in his mind. Pushing that aside, Nebel focused on the female's words, his ears now fully pricked. This is it... A feeling of anticipation filled the air, as the male awaited the alphess's final verdict. Then a wave of relief washed over Nebel, as she spoke of them sleeping on the border. Good... a night all to myself. Nebel had a strange relationship with the pack structure. He required times of solace, yet for some reason he also clung to a social life.
Nebel cast a glance at the stranger nearby, a doubtful look now upon his face. With... him? The male slowly rose from the ground, stretching his cramped muscles as he did so. Meanwhile he studied the wolf, seemingly oblivious to the fact that he was staring. With a gruff grunt, Nebel accepted the situation. He would sleep with the stranger tonight; perhaps something good would come out of it. Nebel's attention then shifted back to the female, and he hesitated. "Much appreciated." It was short, but not bad coming from a guy like him.

Frexpar's ears twitched back, a display of regret he could not catch before it happened. The border, which pretty much meant that the two could not go any further in then they already were. This was not a problem for him, what was a problem was staying with the other newcomer. He felt threatened by the other loner, who seemed to be a lonely wander much like himself. Only, not at all like Frexpar. The small wolf didn't really trust the pack, but he certainly did not trust other loners. It was not entirely natural for a wolf to wander around by themselves. It possibly meant some kind of tragedy befell them, or that they were trouble.
He didn't expect to find any sort of friendship from the other loner, but then again this was a possibility to establish a sort of relationship. They were both going to be something like outcasts to this new pack.
The smaller wolf gave a small bob of his head, but made no other move. "Understood." He looked at the male he would be living with for possibly the next few days. He didn't smile or bob, but gave a small sniff in his direction.

Fellixe watched as the two seemed taken aback when she had stated that they may stay together. It was an odd arrangment, and yet she felt that it was an okay descision. Maybe living together would help them get the feel of the pack life, and then they would be ready when she welcomed them into the actual pack.
"I will be giving you two my trust. I will check back up on you when the moon glows down on us, to see where you are and how you are doing."
She turned her back to them, lifting her head up and twisting it around to glance at them one last time. She briefly nodded, and then slowly walked away in silence. Her tail swished gently left and right as she retreated to tell her pack members of the new happenings. She wondered how they would react, and if they would tell her that her judgement of the two was good or bad.
[OOC: This was a bad post... but if you two want to go ahead and roleplay by yourselves, I think Fellixe will join a different roleplay :] Is that okay?]
